Some times ago, I started to make an illustration to the poem, grounded on the similar story: the young girl of privileged class, student of the university of St. Petersburg, was brought to the police station (for taking part in demonstration), where she was forced to undress, then strip-searched by policemen, and in conclusion sentenced to birching in public. I haven't complete this drawing yet. This is only the part of the whole scene...
