Most of us have seen that pic of the boy spanking the teacher and assumed it was from a performance of "Kiss Me, Kate." It sounds from the article, though, like it was the original "Taming of the Shrew," which doesn't usually have a spanking. Whose idea was it to include one? Probably the teacher.
