There are two interesting news for fans of the 1963 comedy western with the great spanking scene(s).
The first one is just great: Maureen O’Hara, born Aug. 17th 1920, who performed as Mrs Katherine McLintock – maybe mainstream movie history’s hottest spankee aged 42 when the scene was filmed – will now, finally at 94, receive the Lifetime Achievement Oscar – congrats!
The second news is a sad one: “McLintock!” – director Andrew V. McLaglen, born July 28th 1920 – has passed away at 94 on August, 30th 2014.
